Ugandan Shea butter (Vitellaria paradoxa) comes from the nuts found on the Karite tree (the tree is considered to be sacred by the locals, being used in various spiritual and religious ceremonies), the nuts are crushed by hand (cold-pressed) to remove the thick outer shell, then sorted by grade, roasted slowly and then kneaded in a large basin of hot water to separate out all the beneficial fatty acids, these fatty acids are the key to shea butters restorative health enriching properties which makes it ideal for use in skin care products or on its own, once the shea butter is done being kneaded & mixed the butter is skimmed off the top and scooped into tins or buckets.

Ugandan shea butter is rich in Stearic & Oleic acids as well as Vitamin A & E, the butter is rich in saturated fatty acids which makes it an excellent emollient (moisturizer) for dry skin, it has anti-ageing properties helping your tissues with cell regeneration, softening and smoothing your skin while reducing fine lines, wrinkles, stretch marks, dandruff, scarring, and cellulite. This shea butter is mild and can effectively treat and prevent diaper rash because of its antifungal & anti-inflammatory properties.

This shea butter can be used in various skincare & haircare products and is usually found in Leave-on formulations, the butter is easily absorbed into your skin whereafter it leaves a silky smooth finish on your skin.
