Birch essential oil, (Betula lenta) also known as sweet birch oil by dis natuurlik. is imported from Russia, the oil is made by steam distilling the bark of the tree which produces a thin, yellow pure essential oil, that smells balsamic, woody & minty, bottled locally in South Africa.
Birch essential oil works well in aromatherapy blends with other essential oils like: Basil, Pine Needle, Frankincense, Lemon, Roman Chamomile & Wintergreen.

5 Easy Birch Essential Oil Uses:
- Diffuse the oil to help you to focus while studying or reading
- Add 1-2 drops of this oil to your daily moisturiser or skin toner.
- Blend 1-2 drops of this oil with a carrier oil of your choice to make a refreshing after workout warming massage oil.
- Birch forest diffuser blend, 2 drops birch, 2 drops sweet orange, 1 drop Indian sandalwood essential oil.
- Forest breeze diffuser blend, 4 drops juniper berry, 3 drops black pepper, 3 drops pine needle, 2 drops birch essential oils.
Birch Essential Oil Usage Instructions:
- Diffusion: Use five to six drops in a diffuser/ oil burner of your choice.
- Topical use: Apply this oil to your skin by mixing no more than 4-5 drops of this oil for every 5ml of body lotion or carrier oil. (Always dilute essential oils with a carrier oil to minimise any skin sensitivity.)
- Essential oil perfume: Add 80 drops of carrier oil to an amber bottle (50ml+), With a dropper, add in 10 drops of essential oils that contain base notes, followed by 5 drops of headnotes, and 5 drops of heart notes, seal the bottle and shake well, label and store in a cool dark place.
